Tecnam P2008 Light Sport
It’s widely recognized that learning to become a pilot is expensive. While it will be well worth it in the end, it is important to be prepared financially before you begin your training!
Our PPL course will take you from zero flight time to licensed pilot in as little as 40 hours and we’ll familiarize you with several aircraft including both high and low wing aircraft utilizing our fleets modern avionics. Below are some helpful tips what to expect.
Projected Spending
(flying and other materials)
40 - 65 hours of flight time (or more) in a Cessna 172 Skyhawk and/or Tecnam P-Mentor. An average aircraft hourly cost is between $200 and $240 dollars hourly.
Approximately 20 to 30 hours of flight instruction. The cost of one-on-one learning with your flight instructor is $65.00 hourly
Approximately 5 to 10 hours of ground instruction. The cost of one-on-one ground instruction with your flight instructor is $40.00 hourly
Students must also purchase necessary study material, training aids and an audio headset for use in the aircraft. Headsets may also be rented for $5.00 for each flight
