Our IR will take you from a beginning Private Pilot to a more competent instrument rated pilot in approximately *90 additional flight hours. An Instrument Rating is an essential rating if your goal is to be an airline pilot.
*Upon completion of your PPL, you’ll need to accumulate additional flying hours including a minimum of 50 hours of cross-country time and 40 hours of instrument flying time.
Our Commercial Pilot Course will take you through the necessary minimum flight times to achieve a Commercial Pilot Rating. You’ll need a minimum of *250 hours of flight time to become a commercially rated pilot which is an essential rating to become an airline pilot.
At this stage of your training, you’ll have accumulated the required instrument flight time toward your CPL. Now you’ll need to accumulate the required 100 hours of Pilot-In-Command time.
Note: An assumption in the industry is that if you possess a Commercial Rating, you also hold an Instrument Rating (IR). Very few pilots seek a Commercial Rating with VFR privileges only.
