Discovery flights are meant for individuals considering obtaining a pilot license or pursuing a career in aviation. Federal Aviation Regulations do not permit non-licensed pilots to manipulate the flight controls of an airplane unless the flight is conducted for the purpose of “instruction” with a licensed Certified Flight Instructor.
